The APV project that led to the design of the following vessel you see here, is now designated the "The Kangei Hunter", as the official name for our future anti-whaling vessel you see today. Construction Reinforced aluminum and Corten steel hull, with limited ice-class capabilities (IE: Ice belt), so it can travel within Antarctic waters by design, but it's not intended for icebreaking duties in any capacity, but it can make contact with ice safely. Full ice class would destroy the vessels interception speeds.
